My Go-To Smoothie for a Refreshing Reset

Favourite Green Smoothie

Most days, I’m perfectly content sipping on water and coffee. These two staples are my hydration go-tos and fuel me through just about everything. But every once in a while, especially after a couple of days of less-than-ideal eating or when I’m feeling a bit run down, I find myself craving something that feels like a reboot. That’s when I turn to my favourite green smoothie recipe.

This smoothie is my ultimate go-to because it checks all the boxes: it’s fresh, packed with greens, and oh, so delicious. It’s like a vibrant burst of health in a glass, and it always leaves me feeling rejuvenated.

Favourite Green Smoothie

1 cup orange juice

1 cup apple juice

1 cup frozen mango

1 cup frozen pineapple

1 cup spinach, packed

1 cup kale, packed

2 medium celery stalks

Juice of 1 lime

1-inch piece of ginger, peeled (optional)

Ice

Instructions:

Add all the ingredients to a high-powered blender and blend until smooth. Pour it into your favourite glass and enjoy!

This smoothie is more than just a tasty treat. It’s a powerhouse of nutrients:

The greens: Spinach and kale bring a hefty dose of vitamins A, C, and K, as well as iron and antioxidants.

The fruits: Mango and pineapple add natural sweetness and vitamin C while providing a tropical vibe.

The extras: Celery and ginger elevate the smoothie’s freshness factor, while lime juice adds a zesty kick.

On top of all that, it’s hydrating and energizing - exactly what I need when I’m hitting the reset button. The best part? It’s so easy to throw together. I buy bags of frozen mango and pineapple, so I almost  always have that on hand, and I often buy bags of pre-washed spinach and kale there as well, and this his so  great to have around when whipping up a smoothie. I will often throw some of the greens into a container and freeze for later use - it’s perfectly ok to add frozen spinach and kale if that’s what you have available.

Whether I’m starting my day with it or using it as a mid-afternoon pick-me-up, it always hits the spot.

So, if you’re feeling like your body needs a little TLC, try my favourite green smoothie recipe - maybe it will become you and your families new favourite too.
